Medium- acrylic

This piece is a quick departure from my story to study the anatomy of the animals that my creatures are based on. I used a horse for this one because it has a very similar facial structure as my dragon. I used many reference images of horses to sketch out the ones at the top of the page and used the anatomy and bone structure that I had found to paint the dragon more realistically. I used black and white to draw attention to the anatomical structure and make it more clear to the viewer. This painting doesn't have as much significance as the other ones in my story so far, but it is part of my investigation as I use real anatomy to exaggerate and create my ideas and creatures.
